:D any info or new developments you guys can tease us with ? frame lock ? blade steel ? handle material ? ETC .....
 
We're still trying to catch up with all our other projects right now. We'll get there.

Hmmm.....At first thought was an axis lock like on benchmade,or arc lock
on SOG.then I got to thinkin' if designing a survival folder,what about a
lock similar to the Sebenza/some kind of frame lock that can be disassembled
to be cleaned.Chris Reeve knives are top notch but the cost is out of the
range of most people.sooo.....175.00-200.00 range I think maybe.anyone
else any ideas

+2 on the frame lock.

When we do the folder it will have a VG10 blade. We spoke with a steel importer at Blade that can get us VG10 for the folder, but the blanks have to be laser cut in Japan and then shipped over for us to finish.
 
VG10 is our favorite stainless. Has been for a long time. Problem is you can't import it as raw material, so we're going to have to import it possibly as lasered blanks. We will see how this goes. Shon is working on this deal.
 
I picked up a SOG Mini Vulcan with a VG10 blade and I absolutely love it. Been using it at work cutting .010 brass wire for a couple of weeks, edge has held up really well so far.
 
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you guys will come up with!! Take your time though I know you've got alot of work already!
 
Skip the VG 10 and go straight to laminated 3G steel. I'll take one as soon as it's ready. Maybe you should call it the "Tres G Rata" knife
 
When you do the folder with VG10 what kind of lock are you going to use ?
I'd like to see an axis type lock. Oh, and a flipper to assist opening.
 
I vote lockback. Failing that, at least an Axis type lock. And VG-10 sounds like its made of win. Its my favorite stainless steel by far. Whatever you guys decide on, I'm convinced it will be an excellant knife. I'm saving my pennies right now for an RC-5 SERE.
 
Linerlock or lockback, a RAT in VG-10 would be awinner. that is a superb stainless steel.
