RC serrations

I'm about to order an RC knife (changed my mind from the RC3 to the RC4, because I think the bigger blade will suit my needs more, considering I already carry a Delica 4 for all the finer cutting purposes I might need). But, anyways, I still cant decide on serrations or not. I like the cleaner look of the plain edge, but I sometimes find serrations useful. But, what I mainly want to know is how well these serrations really stack up compared to Spyderco's serrations. Please be as honest, and unbiased, as you can be.

You'll be pleased with either option. I chose PE but RC PE are also extremely well done.

RC-4 as an awesome knife!

I am curious about this too. Will the serrations still cut well if you only sharpen the flats in between the grooves? has anyone done any tests?

Absolutely! In fact, that's the proper way to sharpen our serrations. Simply sharpen the edge like you normally would and you put the "tooth" back on th serrations.

As a side note to this, for the purists who also want to sharpen the belly of the serrations a straight 3/8 round hone will do the job, but again, you don't have to do that.

I am starting to come around on those SE's.

Will RAT every consider making a fully serrated edge? This would be particularly well suited to the Azula and RC-3. Actually I'd really like a fully serated RC-3 as my freshwater dive and boat knife!!!!

That is very good news!
