1st I want to say that this knife is perfect the way it is. I just have to much time on my hands and wanted to try a mod. on it. Plus I always have my Rat Pack knife. I used a glass of water, belt sander, and a dremal tool. Simply removed some of the blade, and made the butt slightly more pointed but not to were it hurts the hand. Enjoy.

Feels the same to me. As for benefits. None really just wanted to try out a mod.

Interesting.

I agree that just from an aesthetic point, it needs a swedge.

When I finally break down and buy a 3 or 4, the one modification I plan on doing is grinding that silly little exposed point of the tang flush with the scales. I am a strict adherent to the school of thought that says the only sharp edge on a knife should be the one used for cutting.

I understand why it's there, but when I carry a fixed blade, it goes on my belt, and I don't like the idea of bashing my wrist on a pointy piece of steel. I don't typically need to break windows or skulls, so I think I'll be just fine without it.

I love it; add a swedge and you've got what I think the RC3 clip point should have looked like. Nice work.

If you get the molle back you have the jump proof elastic that you can use to cover that...

also, they sell them with rounded pommel as well...

Thanks for the info. I love these knives, but I'm still learning what all's out there.

just curious, i don't see the option to ATTACH pix. do you need to be a Gold Member to do that?

i'm familiar with the UBB board software, and i'm not seeing the paperclip icon, just te one with the mountain on it.

But I can get a clip pt from ESEE. I have another Mod. Idea Ill do once I get another one.
