Well, it's not a deer and it is an RC6, but it seems to do quite a number on a caiman!

I agree. Even if I use another knife for the skinning , I still use the Rc4 because you can pound it right through the pelvis bones real easy.Although I used my Helle Fjellman, a skinner, to actually skin it, my RC-4 did a superb job butchering a bear this past summer. It is the knife I carry with me wherever and whatever I hunt. Only for a bear rug or some other critter with a great hide would I even bother with the Helle and that is because the blade shape makes it less likely to puncture the hide.
