Well one of my cats brought me a squirell today. Too bad he was really too small to cook.

But, still, good practice for skinning. Just like riding a bike. I prepped him out nicely.

Honestly, if I knew he was a healthy squirell I would have eaten him, but the fact that my cat got him... eh...

But you can all rest well tonight. The RC 4 can handle really big game. Felt kind of nice to get a LITTLE blood on the RAT!

Traditional Northern/Yukon aboriginal method of cooking squirrels (and ground squirrels) is to simply shove a sharp stick up their butt and roast them over a fire, burning the fur off in the process. No skinning required. MMM-mmmm, good!:D

Yeah sorry guys, I thought about pics, but I was in a hurry to go out with friends. :)

One nice thing, the RC4 did clean up perfectly with a little dish soap. I was worried about the micarta changing color. Nope, looks perfect!

When I lived in Peru that was how the Indians prepared their monkeys. You can *never* get that singed-hair odor out of the meat after that! :barf:
