Here is a quick and dirty review of the RC5 I just bought. It came in yesterday and last night I was already making it my biznatch.
It's over in the Rat Cutlery forum, but it was plenty informative for such a short test.

This short test and a thread here about Urban Survival has lead to thinking about an Urban TSHTF review for this knife. Especially since I want to play with the glass breaker...

There are two other tests I plan for this knife, as it got too dark for me to do either one: chopping and making a fire bow set from start to finish and use the knife as a bearing block.

If you're on the fence about an RC5, then I hope this helps. Enjoy!!

Fer cryin' out loud, whenever I get myself talked out of an RC5, I go and read one of these threads. I think it's a good idea to get one for my car kit. Plus the thing Jeff found out about a non-glass breaker pommel NOT breaking glass when the window is partially open. . .

Nice review. I agree with all your statements. Seems like a great camp knife

I got one of the first one's out. It is a great knife. I convexed the edge and it cuts fantastic, plus the grip fills my hand enabling a very secure grip.

I do plan on picking up one of the new style sheaths to enable more carry options.

Nice review 'Ol Bud...I started to purchase one back over the summer but went with one of Stomper's "LOBO" models  I still might check into one later....just see it doing anything the "LOBO" can't handle ;)
