RC6 and carving a custom firesteel handle

I posted this on the survival subforum so i figured you'd like to see it too...

I carved the handle with the RC6... it was pretty good actually... I cut myself once but i think it turned out ok... what do you think???

Looks cool! I'm curious as to how the super glue holds up on the ferrocium rod - I've heard people using epoxy, gorilla glue, all sorts. I've had epoxy give up on one of my ferro steels - need something that doesn't require both surfaces to be porous, I guess.

all i did was scrape the black coating on the rod, put some super glue and stick it in there pretty good (about .75 inch in there)... i was toying around with it (also my brother and my nephew) and it looks like it will hold pretty good..

Very cool. I often find the handles on fire steels are uncomfortable, that looks pretty egronomic.

I thought I might have been copying from somewhere else? Maybe not?

I use jb weld on my firesteel handles, and I havnt ever had one come out on me.
