Is this knife available in desert tan? Cause if it is who sells it in that color? And if its not why?

Coming from an IT background I am really perplexed why they don't make a lot of different handles for people to buy and swap out. Seems like it would be a huge money maker. Sell one knife and guys buy three or four handles to switch out when they like. Also, one with a rubber waterproof seal would be cool as well to keep stuff in the handle dry.

This has been mentioned before, but the handle slabs on RC knives are matched to the tang when the knives are built. There have been posts about people switching handle slabs but they are slightly "off" (the swapped slabs, not the people switching them:D). Jeff has mentioned that having interchangeable handles would affect the great fit and finish Rowen Manufacturing is known for. Just my .02

Offering fewer color choices is a way to keep costs down. Besides, they're tools, not toys. :p Seriously though, if you want desert tan, great. Strip the finish and dura coat it. Quite a few people have done with great results.

I agree re: the scale swapping. RAT/Rowen's fit and finish is one of the things that drew me to the brand. The devil is always in the details, and proper fit and finish is an indication of the time and attention to detail at every level of production that goes in to building a quality tool.

If the slabs are matched to the tang on every single RAT knife and I'm sure they are. Then how will the new Izula scales fit with out being "matched"?

New Izula scales? Are they just in planning stage or did I miss something?
