It seems we all have likings to this and that so I figured I would see if anyone else was into Rc Cars and I'm not meaning the Walmart specials. :)

Rc cars are as addicting as knives and flashlights. :)

Which model I have several traxxas.. My 5 year old has the Traxxas Stampede 4x4. Best darn investment Ive ever made. I keep saying I'm going to buy myself one but I keep getting others.

I'll have to check out the stampede. He is 5 and loves to watch RC Adventures on youtube. But... I could probably buy him a used car for nearly the same investment :hopelessness:

I have to admit, they look bas&*&.

I used to race electric and gas sedans with a couple local clubs a number of years ago. Dumped about 7 Fiddlebacks worth into the hobby each of the 4 years and got plenty of sunburns. Was a ton of fun and learned a lot about suspension geometry, traction, etc. Eventually other hobbies took over and I stopped.

Fun story one race weekend... sunrise on a Sat or Sun morning. Forecast temp was about 100-105. On my way to the track I got stuck going up a hill behind a huge 1970's granny sedan. She ran over a rotting deer carcass and spattered my car with it's toxic juices. Ewww gross was my thought and I kept on rolling. I spent all day in the 100+ degree heat racing and headed back home around 9pm. Sunburned and tired, I didn't really think it through before washing my windshield at the gas station. HOLY MOSES the STINK. I will never forget that smell to the end of my days.
 
Not yet.. I've had several puff and I just toss them.. I found a good place to get lipos and they r cheap..

I've only had to toss 2 out of 7 batteries so I can't complain. :)

The key to lipo batteries is a good balance charger.

There is a dad and kid down the street (I suspect it is mostly for his dad) who race one up and down our cul de sac. I like watching it a lot. But... too many other hobbies says the Wife.

Nitro.. and a beast at that.. I've never drove a true street car.. how do u like it? How many issues do you have adjusting the carb with all the dang humidity In GA

We have gone through a few Syma X7 helicopter RC drones. Very unpredictable but tons of fun.

My 4tec is electric. It' s crazy. One little slip or twitch and BOOM!!!!.....off to the hobby shop.

I had a Traxxas nitro truck and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I sold it to a friend and told him he couldn't bring it back. It was his problem .
