OK...I think I'm about ready to do it...

I'm going to have one of my OKC Ranger RD Tantos converted to another profile. Thinking drop point or spear point, but the drop point looks more feasible. (I got one more of them just for this conversion)

I want as much material to be retained. My question is, is there any thing Specific I should tell the person/blademaster/skilledbladesmith to do?

Or should I just state my parameters, like saving as much material as possible but have a proper profile and edge? Like making it look BK2ish with as much material retained as practical?

Any advice I get would be welcome.

I own all versions but the RD4 I gave my little brother who had more of a need for it than me. I been thinking of this project since I got an RD Tanto. I have way more than enough of them I gave some to some brothers who really love them. Now if they made the RAK in 5160, I'd never of decided to get an RD Tanto reprofiled.

And being a guy, why do things the easy way?

Up to you, just doesn't seem worth the cost for a $100 knife. What does being a guy have to do with it? Most guys I know take the easy, smart route ;)

Cuz I want to. About same reason other people mod their knives.

And its my planned conversion if the tips break on my RD Tantos. :D
