Ranger Knives RD6> Light use. The coating on the blade started to come off fairly easily so I stripped it bare from top to approx. the choil. Sharpened w/ Apex Edge Pro. Comes w/ original sheath. This would make someone an awesome user. This is the newer full flat grind blade.

As you can see it has the coating removed on the blade only. There are a few places on the spine around the handle where some coating has been chipped off but for the most part the handle is still coated. It still has the grind mards and such on the blade from Justin but with a little love you could smooth it out nicely. Since this was a user for me I did not mind the grind marks.

$70.00 and it's yours. Paypal preferred. First "I'll take it" gets it. PM me or email me with questions. SPF

Thanks guys. :)

Deja Vu! I did the same thing to the coating on my RD6, and it looks exactly the same as yours. What a great knife.

Howdy!

What did you use to strip the blade?

I'm asking because I may do the same...

Thanks!

John

Solstice: It's all yours. PM sent. Thanks bro.

RAT-30: I used Savorgran Heavy Duty Super Strip. I got it at Ace Hardware I believe. I had to coat it a couple of times on each side and then scrape a little but it came off clean. There are others on BF that have used stronger strippers and got much faster results though. If I find those threads I'll point you to them. But what I used worked real nice. No harm to the handle. Godd luck bro and let us see some pics when you are done. :)

Congrats TL and Solstice - I am glad that she is going to a good home. Sorry it was not mine! :)

Turner: Thanks for the words.

Solstice: Payment recieved. I'll get this off later this morning (Sat 07/29/06). ;)

Update: Shipped and insured today. Let me know when she arrives. :)
