There was a post a while back about a big mill being ripped down for condos in Mass and an architectural firm was going to have a huge sale and get rid of lots of cool stuff cheap. I thought I was on their list to be contacted when the sale happened "in a few weeks...soon". That seems like it was quite a while now and I haven't heard anything. Has anybody else? Did I miss it, or have they just not got around to scheduling a date yet? Any info appreciated...
Thanks,
Ed

Dan, If you do a search for 'big tool sale' in the last two months you can see the original and the attached PDF with pictures. Its pretty much a bladesmith's wet dream: anvils, vises, grinders, buffers, power hammers, steel, forges.....and on and on and on.....Just put a paper towel over your keyboard so the drool doesn't short things out:D
I emailed the guy from the architectural company last night. If I get any more info I'll post it.

OK!!!! I am positive that it will show up on Ebay???? HEHEHEHE!!!

Or, there are so many tools that it's taking them weeks and weeks just to catalog everything and there will be more than enough for everybody and the anvils will have perfect faces and edges and will be sold for fitty cents a pound and the power hammers will go for a hundred bucks a pop as long as you're willing to haul them off and, and, and... OK, maybe not, but a guy can dream, can't he?

A friend of mine called the office of the company that put out the info. According to the person he spoke with, the sale was put off for a while due to other things going on with their business. He is supposedly on some sort of notification list when they get ready to move on this. I think he also found out the company involved does handle large scale sales of equipment, so maybe they are still sorting it out? I wonder if the level of interest expressed is having them rethink the process? Makes you wonder.............

Hey all, I had emailed the people regarding the sale some time ago and they had said they would contact us when they had it all sorted out. Well, I received an email today saying
"Hello All,

We haven't forgot about you! What Jeff thought was a "done deal" with the
developer isn't. When we get any information we'll send it along.
Thanks for your patience!
