Re-examining Myself

I’d just like to take this opportunity to give myself a little credit and a pat on the back. I’d like to thank myself for all the help, support, guidance, patience and understanding I’ve given myself over the years, and for always being there for me when I needed me. Thanks for taking the time to listen to me, and for all selfless sacrifices I’ve made for myself. Where would I be now and how could I ever have gotten here without me? And on those days when things weren’t going so well I was there to lean on , cheer me up, make me laugh and bring a smile to my face. Yes, there were those days when the whole world seemed to be against me, but I was there and stood by my side through thick and thin. I really don’t know how I will ever be able to thank myself enough or repay the debt.

Thanks for being my best friend and my own true teacher, but most of all,… just thanks for being me.

Yes, I've spent my whole life wondering in the desert, searching for answers... just me and my guru "I". :)

... When's the last time some of you guys gave yourselves a self examination?

You might have self cancer (or cancer of the self). :(
 
I take a look at myself on a regular bases. I think I know my shortcomings and long suits. I believe I am decent to decent people and I have my inner peace for the most part.

It takes a lot of honesty and digging at one‘s self. However, self acceptance and self love are very important for a healthy self.

Just remember - 'I' is the name we all give to ourselves. Billions of people - all the same name.

I think I see what you are getting at...

If we dig deep enough into ourselves, we may find that we are all essentially the same "I" and are all connected. Is that what you are saying?

If so,... I like it. :)
