Im sure ill get use to the beauty marks but if i get tired of my Busse's strached blade (when i get it and i abuse it) can i send it back and get it re-finished and if so whats that cost?

Yes. Many folks send their knife in for a spa treatment (cleanup). I'm not sure of the cost though, but plan on checking next week myself.

Would they have to sand of the tanker grey?

No sir. The coating strips off with chem stripper like goof off or acetone. I got a few going to spa and a few for some mods. Rather heavy box. Call and get a quote. It's very reasonable.

I finally got an ash-1 on the way!! and i am also thinking of having it refinished and mag handles put on.If anyone knows the price for something like this please message me.thanks

Finishes can be redone, coating can be changed, handles can be changed. But pricing depends on the model, the existing finish, the end result finish, the type of handle (machined, handshaped, standard or magnum) and the type of handle material used. If interested shoot me or Lexi an email and we will get a quote for your specific project.

Thanks, you guys at Busse know how to treat your "fans"!

One of the things I like best about Garth is he is a user *and* collector and understands some people, cover your ears, like knives that look nice. I've been a direct customer for a couple of years (I've been a secondary customer for maybe seven or so) and I'm just now getting to the point where I'm not afraid to ask for exactly what I want. I'm so conditioned to being treated like a fool for asking for say, an out of production model or really, anything at all, from knife shops that I don't try anymore. But Busse isn't just any knife shop  Ask Lexi how many times I go back and forth about finishes/handle options lol I'm surprised she still deals with me/can keep it all straight. Seriously, you'd think I'm purposely testing her resolve sometimes.

I like to use my knives, but I also like to know I can get it reconditioned, if I want to, when I retire it and have it lay in my knife case and look nice. I'm not mechanically inclined in these respects. I have a small bench grinder, but no where to set it up and few attachments, I don't even think I have a buffing wheel. Hand polishing is about as much as I trust myself to do.
