jw how much it would cost to get a knife rehandled? I know material makes a difference so let's say I have a four and a half inch handle I wanted in g10 and another I wanted in desert ironwood? Just looking for a rough estimate and maybe some recommendations. Not something I plan on getting anytime soon but one day

I think a lot of it comes down to how the current handle is attached. I know from other forums that LT Wright handles are held on with pins and epoxy. If you wanted new handle scales they have to cut/grind off the old ones and fix new ones. Its a long labor intensive process that I think the costs about $120 plus the cost of handle material. However if you have removable handle scales then you shouldn't pay nearly as much.

This isn't the correct sub-forum to solicit work so be careful hashing out to many details however if you post a picture of the knife / knives in question I'm sure you'll get a more ballpark answer than 0-120 bucks (which is almost enough money to commission a whole custom knife in your material choices lol).

Haha yea thanks I wasn't trying to break any rules I was just thinking ab doing some rehandles and of course this is always the first place I go to! I've found one person since then and it really isn't that bad if it is a knife that you like and plan on keeping.
