Hello All ,
Just for reference for a future re handling job on a Buck 112 Ranger and a possible Buck 113 Ranger Skinner , I would like to make the scales wider at the centre of the knifes handle then taper down to the bolsters . What do the forum members think regarding what the maximum thickness should be for both these knives ?

Sheath fitment versus comfort in hand.

If you’re going to keep it in the standard sheath, that’s your thickness limit.

If you’re getting a new sheath or doing without all together, your comfort is your limit.

Remember though... you can always sand more off, but you can’t put it back. Start big then work it down to your liking.

You won’t get any flack here if it looks like a tennis ball with a blade if it’s comfortable ant to your liking!
