I wonder if it would be possible to re-heat treat Sebbie blades to make them harder. The thumb stud would have to be removed and replaced but can 30V by re-heat treated without damaging it? My sebbie blade always seem to go blunt after just a few days of light cutting e.g. veg and meat.

Check the toolshed forum, Cliff has had someone that can re heat treat blades, I can't remember who it was.

re-haeting, in gerneral, is possible. every blade smith should be able to do that.
BUT, maybe you just change the sharpening grind (i hope you know what i mean) ;)

cheers

I would certainly think it's possible, but it's my understanding that s30v needs very careful control during the HT process. I would definitely send it to someone known for quality HT and not let just anyone do it.

If you decide on doing this, let us know how it turns out.
:)
