Sometimes CR knives offered at the secondary market do have "re-issued" written at the birthcard and usually the date of the birthcard is newer. I assume that CRK would not send a re-issued birthcard out to a CRK owner, just by his request. So I guess the knife has to be at CRK to receive a new birthcard? Does that mean if I consider buying a knife with a re-issued birthcard, that such knife has been refurbished by CRK? Or not necessarely? Maybe the birthcard was simply lost and the owner wanted a new one?
Personally I would prefer if CRK would put both dates on the birthcard: the real birthdate and the date of re-issuing the birthcard. But maybe that is too complicated for them.
Best,
Stefan
