I am sure you will remember the post. On first come - first serve basis Staffan gave away 9 of his knives.

Well I was among those lucky ones and I got the Plain Prototype Mini Stryker today. 3 day Air from Finland.

I would like to thank Staffan for such a generous gift and I wish him Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

And since I got the knife for FREE, my one day salary goes to charity of my choice.

Thank you once again, Staffan.

David

David,

I am still awaiting my Microtech, but the generous offer has motivated me to give A knife of mine to a friend that needed one. He will really enjoy it.

Great! I guess the Czech Republic is a little closer than the US, so I will have to wait a little longer for mt Christmas Present from Staba-Claus

I must be terminally cynical. I am amazed by what happened. What about there being no free lunch? I'm too old to re-learn all these lessons.

Guys,

I am sure you will get your knives. I was really surprised by the speed of the delivery (not to mention I am still quite puzzled by the whole thing). The knife (in box) was sent in cardboard envelope with "used tool" sign on it.

I compared it with my regular Stryker (RS) and I like the smaller version better. For its size it is very well built knife, because of its thinner blade it will be easier to resharpen as well. The liner lock is solid, right in the middle of the blade. The clip is slightly higher than on RS so it rides lower in the pocket.

Also when closed the knife is more secure than SR because there is no movement of the blade (I do not know how to explain, but when I close my RS the ball detent locks but then the blade moves slightly - till the disk hits the liner). This does not happen with this one.

Now I have both but if I had to choose I would choose the Mini.

Thanks for listening and excuse my poor English.

David

Still waiting on Mine, here in Kansas City, but I am confidant that they will arrive.

Well, that little package from Finnland arrived yesterday

Inside a BM Mini Stryker, good as new, blade perfectly centered.

Now I just have to try and keep my wife from grabbing it. I showed it to her and let her play around with it. It fits her hands perfectly and I had a time to get it back from her

Thank you so much Staffan. May you have a Merry Christmas and safe holidays and God bless you.

My Junglee Kashmir cigar cutter just arrived yesterday. The Finnish packaging was a big deal at my house, even more so than the knife (thanks again, Staffan).

Helen, I lost out to you on that Malachite BM330, but I already own two others (one with Mother of Pearl scales and the other with G-10) and know you'll enjoy that knife. A very solid tool, despite its pretty face.

My knife didn't show up today

. At least I will have something to look foreward to after the christmas holiday

Cheer up BH. My Kashmir is tiny, so maybe that's why it leapfrogged over Kansas to Calif ahead of your Microtech.

I'll send you my Kashmir if yours is still AWOL by Y2K, how's that?

It's not a gut-spiller, but I'll bet the cigars tremble in their boxes when they see it coming

Thanks for the offer Longden! Don't send me the knife, I'm not that sad

I'm sure that it will get here, and besides, I had a wonderful christmas, and Staba-san did say that he could not guarantee that it would get here. I hope all had a merry christmas, and that the new year finds all well.

Regards,
Brian
