For those of you that have asked for this info when I recieved word back from Lone Wolf knives here is their reply regarding the new Micarta handle scales. I assume the same will be available with wood also which I see they also offer now.

This will certainly step up the quality of your already fine knife.

I post their reply to me with their permission. I informed them when I wrote that this would be the case and it was previously ok'd.

Thanks

Yeah boy. I'm looking forward to stepping up the quality of this one of mine to the next level. The handles that came on it are the cheapest feeling things about it.

I thought looking at it before buying it that the grip would be the same as my D2 Harsey DA which is very tacky and grippy softer rubber feeling. No such luck on the Diablo though. Its hard plastic feeling and though textured its still slick.
I can bead blast the micarta and put some texture to it to make it a bit more grippy.
