can anyone give me some help on deciding which one of these I want. Can you give me some info as to which colors are the brightest, etc.

Thanks,

Kris

Hopefully Doc Walt will see this so he can give you his excellent lecture on chromatic aberration.

Until then I will give you my 2 pence. I have had one of each. As far as brightness, the 2 batt ones are the brightest (Turq, Blue, White), though the Orange and Red are plenty bright for most uses. The yellow is not very bright at all, but great for reading at night, as there is no glare from the page. The Green, which was brightened some time ago, still is not particularly bright, but has the longest battery life. The Turq is probably my fav, but the White is nice if you need colour discrimination.

Absent a separate forum for "all portable useful things that are not knives," we put threads on flashlights, lighters, watches, pens, cell-phones, compasses, etcetera, over in Community.

In Photon Lights, the white light is very bright and the most versatile. The yellow is a little less bright, but has a good narrow beam for finding your way around in the dark, and light reading, and it has much longer battery life. Red is good for preserving your night vision. Blue and turquose are very bright and good for signalling, since there usually aren't a lot of blue lights around at night.
