Hello,

I seem to recall that in one of the “attachment issue” threads someone said that we could re-post pics that are already uploaded on BF in new threads.

I just tried copying/pasting one from my profile list but got the same message about being out of attachments.

Is there a way to post these old pics? (BTW please answer as if you were talking to someone with a limited working knowledge of computers - no reason 😅).

There is.

Go to the attachments section of your profile.

You should see a a file link likely ending in .jpeg to the right of the picture.

Copy that link.

Go to the thread where you want it posted and click the "post image" button at the top of the reply box.

Select the link option and then past it in, click insert and you should be set.

That's how I got this one here.

Copy/paste uploads a new image. Have to use the original image's link.

That said.... B benchwarmer380 the problem with the image you reposted up there is that it will NOT be visible if you're logged out of the forums. That link you get there with "attachment manager" in the URL will only show the photo for members signed in. It will not show up for the rest of the world viewing from the outside looking in. FYI.

Instead, you need to go to the post, and copy the image link from the original post. (i.e. "https://www.bladeforums.com/attachments/screenshot_20240213-121639_gallery-jpg.2494039/") Be sure to remove the trailing "/" at the end of the link, or the image won't display. <-- apparently that has changed, and now you need to have the trailing "/" for the image to display to the outside world not logged into BF.
