First post here. Never really been into knives all that much, but I've kinda always had one on me since I was a kid. Also always just sharpened them on a pocket diamond sharpener I had. Not even sure where I got it, but when a blade would get dull, I'd sharpen on that or my kitchen knife steel rod.

Anywho, I just purchased a KME knife sharpener, and figured I'd try to start keeping a nicer edge on my knives.

First up was this mini-griptilian I bought back in January. I've been carrying it every day, and I love it. The knife itself has held up beautifully, but it got pretty dull. I wanted it to be sharper than it came from the factory, so I chose 20° and started re-profiling (I am guessing that is what I did) with an extra coarse stone, then slowly moved down to coarse, medium, and fine. Spent about an hour on it, I'd guess. It's hard to take photos of the blade, but how's it look? I'm obviously a newbie, so don't be too hard on me. :)

Thats great.

I slowly reprofiled mine on my bench stone.

Its down past the thumbstuds a bit. Could you tell me what the angle is from edge to thumbstuds if you have a guided system?

Thanks fellas!

Kevin, I was barely scraping the thumbstuds if I didn't have the blade in the clamp just right, so I am deducing it is about 20°.
