i received an inexspensive, full tang none the less, tanto from a friend. its a fixed blade with 440 stainless, but the bad part is he ground it down to a "normal" blade shape. i was wondering if anyone knew the angle that a tanto normally comes, i would guess its about a 45 deg angle, from the main part of the blade to the tip. and the best way to try and do this. it seems like the blade has been pretty heavily ground down to get rid of the original shape. or would you recomend putting a nice sharp edge on what i have now and just not worry about changing the shape. thanks for any input

Edit: for spelling

I imagine its not worth it but could you tell us what brand it is? from the sounds of it I don't think its worth the effort:footinmou
