Re-profiling S60V?

I'm toying with the idea of re-profiling one of my S60V blades. If I were to go to 25 degrees inclusive, as an example, what problems could I expect using it as an EDC? What about 20 inclusive?

Any thoughts?

I was under the impression you could take S60V down to 15 degrees or so inclusive without major chipping issues (assuming proper heat treatment) for a non-hard use EDC edge.

What are you going to use it for, since the use will highly affect the angle it can be sharpened to without getting edge damage?

Just basic EDC stuff...I know that sounds stupid, but I've used my knife for everything from opening envelopes and boxes to cutting a fabric collar off of a dog (don't ask, it's a long story). So I'd still need some edge strength, hence my thought on the 20 to 25 degree inclusive geometry.

I figure I paid for it, I might as well get some performance out of it!

My S60V (440V) blades have had no problems at 25 degrees inclusive that weren't directly related to contact with concrete, and that tends to mess up an edge regardless of angle. I think 20 would be okay for most folks, but I use mine pretty hard (building renovation) so I haven't gone any thinner.

My Spyderco Military 440V will slice hardwoods with 20 degree main bevels and 25 degrees included micro-bevels without chipping (multiple pointings of hardwood rake handle).

My other Military models, in S30V and BG-42 require broader 30 degree micro-bevels for the same tests of the same material.
