Have a nice Diamond blade Wetsaw used for tile cutting....
Question: Could it be used to cut fullers in blanks if the depth was set correctly?

sure could. and could do it w/o over heating the steel if you put the coolant to it. Which means you could work hardened steel with it :)

The saw should work fine if you can figure out how to lower the blade at the beginning of the fuller and lift it at the end of the stroke, and adjust the depth. If you can turn the saw head so the blade is being drawn through the metal at a angle this should gve you a cupped out (hyperbola) shaped cut. Diamond blades are designed to chip out microscopic sections of the tile or ceramic (very hard material) soft metal can be removed using this blade but cutting may be very slow. You can however replace the blade with a cut-off blade (abrasive) and grind the grove rather than cutting it. Please let us know how it works out for you.

Not sure about the fuller, but wet saws are a good option for cutting sythetic handle material (like micarta and G10/G11) that you want to minimize dusts from.
