I am a first timer in the process of putting new scales on a Shrade Sharpfinger. I measured the holes in the knife that the old handle was riveted through at 5/32". A 3/16" drill bit will not fit in the holes. I had planned on using corby bolts, but have not found any of that diameter. I also do not see any pins that size. If anyone has done this before or if anyone could tell me what I should use it would be a big help. Thanks!

Use smaller pins. The epoxy will fill the gap and allow a small amount of wiggle room. 1/8" will be more than enough, there will be only 1/64" on each side of the pin. Be sure to drill both scales at the same time, so you know the pin will sit straight. I guess you can't with corby bolts though.

I've chucked a slightly oversize pin in a drill and used a file and sandpaper to reduce it to the required size.

Problem solved. Just had to sleep on it and remember that I had a dremel cutting tool to enlarge holes.
