Well, it was my first knife show, and it was a blast!
I've been to hundreds of gunshows, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I suppose I wasn't too far off. There was a gathering of many talented people in one room, and an appreciative crowd circulating around to see the "goods."
What was funny was that it seemed to take about a half hour to make my way around to all the tables, stopping only at the ones that appealed to my tastes. But it turned out that somehow, three hours had elapsed before I left. Now how did that happen???
The other surprise was that most of the knives felt the way they looked. Until now, I've only been able to handle production knives, relying solely upon web and magazine pictures to judge custom knives (including the one I ended up buying). The knives that looked heavy were, the ones that looked balanced were. I didn't expect that.
Anyway, the show was a hoot. How did everyone else enjoy the show?
