I was looking for a sheath for a Buck Fixed blade I have and ended up figuring out that there have been a series of very similar knives with different names/model numbers and thought I would just document it for posterity. Maybe this has all been documented but I did a search on this forum and couldn't find any threads with any combination of these three model numbers.
Anyways, it appears to me that the chinese made, Buck 473 Diamondback, and the US made Buck 673 Bucklite Max and Buck 684 Bucklite max II small all use the same blade size/shape/profile. It looks like there are slight differences in the handle shape between the models. I believe I have listed them in the chronological order of their availability. With only the 684 being currently available.
I have the Buck 473, which seems to be a super useful size/shape blade, so I can understand why they would keep the pattern going.
If anyone has any corrections or additional information, please add. or if anyone has photos of any of the models to add that would be cool also. I could add a pic of the 473 in a minute.
