I have the avid version, and the handle is quite slippery and uncomfortable, but I do like the knife design. Is the g10 version better ergos???

I use the G-10 Pro a lot and have had no problems with it. I haven't gotten it wet very much, but for my use "slippery" isn't a consideration, that is I haven't thought about it because the concern hasn't come up.

I've only used the G10 version. I've had no slippery grip issues.

I guess you could put skate board tape on your Avid handle, for me slippery hasn't been an issue at all.In fact it works great,Ive had knives with too much texture on the handle and thus become a pocket shredder. The G 10 has more texture.

I can see where youre comin from, I have a Pro which has excellent grip, but my buddies avid seems like it can be almost oily to the touch. Get the pro or try and find the 0345GYSWM-B Charcoal Dymondwood-oiled. Dont let the name fool ya, I feels like it is unfinished wood, with very good grip, but seems to be able to hold up to the elements. It is however, 420hc base model steel instead of your better 13c26 Sandvik.

The slipperyness is why I bought the Pro after first buying the Avid. I have
been carrying the Avid again starting last week though, just because I love
the look of the Dymondwood. It's a slippery little rascal, but it needed
some Love and Use:) Try the Pro.....I'm sure you'll love it, because other
then the scales, they both feel the same.

Why does everyone hate on the Avid? I love it.

No hate here, I love the 13c26 and love the look of the Dymondwood. One of the scale materials has to be slipperiest(is that a word?:p) when wet, just happens to be the glazed dymondwood. Dont have one but thats a temporary condition.

Oh, I don't hate on it!! I've been carrying mine again for about the last
week. Love the look of the Dymondwood. It's just as mentioned, it's a
little slippery if your hands are sweaty or a bit oily. It's a GREAT knife.
Regards Sonny
