Hi,

I can´t reach the Custom Shop from my normal E-Mail (German provider) or my GMX-account...

Any ideas?

thx and regards
Denis

Hey, this isn't a how to :(

Open up a different email account. Tons of free options. Gmail is my favorite; I use it and I get replies from them. I have a friend who loves Yahoo!.

But you should contact garth@bussecombat.com directly. I don't think I've ever gotten a reply from that other one... customshop@bussecombat.com?

I have been in contact with the custom shop and i think Garth is super busy making the NMFSHLE for us because Lexi has been helping him answer his mail. You will get an answer from one of them but it may take a few days..

No, sorry for my english....

I mean my E-mail account didn´t get a connection to the Busse CS E-mailadress, not that nobody answers

regards
Denis

I had problems getting through using email too. I sent numerous emails to the custom shop with no response and I also placed an order on the website which sends an email to Busse upon completion and after waiting almost a week for confirmation I called and Lexi said they never received my email. I use gmail and tried a few different accounts... Maybe they just blocked me .

Your best option is to call in my opinion.

They're super busy, but they always take care of you.

I have an email in to Garth and Jerry for about a month I believe. I always have to send several, but they get back to me eventually. If I am in a hurry for an answer, I call.

So it appears that if you want to send in a knife for a regrind/sharpen you might be without it for a while?

For sharpening, there is a service provider here I've sent big Busse choppers to for sharpening and he did a great job, he's fast and the charge is nominal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, I currently have a RH out to him to sharpen up the main edge and add a secondary bevel to the top edge. I think he does custom work but I can't attest to any of that... Send me an email if you want his info.

Lexi has been helping Garth  I was going to ask for them to clone Garth, but cloning Lexi would be a lot better. Sorry Garth, you're just not as pretty as she is lol

What is available from the custom shop?

Knives that are no longer "in production"

Customized versions of knives currently in production

Customized knives sent in by customers

..........or all of the above.

I think it is all of the above, although you need to talk with Garth for particulars.

It seems that Busse may keep blanks of older models (for warranty work?), so it might be possible to order those. Current knives would be available to customize, and the Shop will certainly modify your knife.

A new custom design from scratch is another question, we haven't seen any of those in a while, don't know if they will entertain such orders.

The best way to deal with the Custom Shop would be to send Garth an email asking him to check inventory for whatever model it is you are interested in. If it is available to order he will let you know and you can discuss the options from there. If he does not have the model available he will have you added to a contact list to be notified if and when it is available in the future. garth@bussecombat.com is his direct email.

I was afraid to ask questions for a long time, now I have two absolute dream knives on order :p

The folks at Busse are a lot more friendly than what I am conditioned to, give them a chance
