As many of us know, the holiday season can be a very dark time for some people, particularly for those who suffer from depression and/or other mental issues. Please take a moment to keep in mind those who are alone and isolated, not just physically but emotionally as well.

Many of us know someone from whom we have become estranged due to the awkwardness created by these issues. Why not pick up the phone and just say hello or send out a quick Holiday card and let them know they are not alone in this world.

Happy Holidays to All!

You've just about convinced me that I should give my father a call, even if nothing good can come of it. It's been about a year and a half.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Great idea Mark!

Our pastor had a sermon about a month ago, and part of the message was challenging the congregation to reach out to your friends, let them know you care. I finally got off my lethargic gluteus maximus, and shipped a Queen Canoe in D2 to a friend. In the knife box, I wrote a note how his friendship was very important to me. We have been friends for 25 yrs. now. His birthday was today, and he recieved the package yesterday, waited til today to open it. The sound in his voice made me know how important it is to reach out to your friends, family, and the ones you love. Do it now, rather than later, when the thought fades, and your chances of following through wane. His call was worth 3 quality production slipjoints. It does not need to be a gift, just a call.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

Go for it.

The words "Hi, I was just thinking of you and thought I'd give you a call." can mean a whole lot to someone caught up in the black hole that is depression. Even more so around this time of year.

My thanks to roughedges, cj65, and the one person who messaged me privately for taking the time to respond.
