A friend (Yes, I have a few) sent me this reaction time game. My best average is .186 seconds. I searched around and found a few other reaction time tests. I still averaged .19 to .2 seconds. That's not too bad for a 65 year old fart.:D

Try it. See how you do.

Hint: try it using your peripheral vision instead of looking directly at the screen.

Lmao, I'm too quick on the trigger!
Gonna have to practice this one a while to get better. After 4 or 5 times and really concentrating I got bobcat status. :)
 
Once I stopped jumping the gun (damn sheep move around too much), I got "rocketing rabbit" status. Let's see if I can improve on that ...


EDITED TO ADD: Dammit, the best I can seem to do is "rocketing rabbit". However, on the plus side, my single quickest hit is a blazing .063 seconds, which ain't half bad.
 
4th round avg.: 0.146 sec.......and lowest time in that round: 0.00 sec.
5th round avg.: 0.1804 sec.....times ranged from 0.179 sec. to 0.182 sec.
 
Maybe I need to start drinking coffee. I couldn't get better than 0.248s

It is rather cold in my office, and my fingers are numb. Yeah, that's the reason...:o :D

Was that your average or just a one time shot? I had a single time of .054, but that was a fluke. If you can average less then .1 seconds you are one fast dude! I don't think the average nervous system can react that fast. (Notice that I said average)

If anyone is interested, look around the internet and you will find other reaction tests.
 
My best round got me a "bobbing bobcat" grade. best single shot was 0125 or somesuch.

I only got it a couple of times. Most of the others were around .15 give or take a few digits.
 
My best average (once I stopped jumping the gun) was .132. But most of my times were .17 to .18 seconds. Got to Rocketing Rabbit a few times. My quickest reaction time was something like .068. Pure luck. I know I was getting ready to jump the gun.:D
 
Hi very interesting thread. .057 sec is not a reaction time but can only be achieved by successful anticipation of the stimulus and an initiation of the response before its onset. If this was a 100 metre sprint start you would have a false start against you. A great anticipation though. drk
