Was wondering what people thought. I was there from beginning to end. I was expecting to pick up the Marlin Spikes for between $10-15 and they sold for $40/each. They were spread across the auction in several lost with quantities like 58 then 88 then 10 or so and then 178. Where are people going to sell those?

I ended up with one lot.

I agree i went with about 500 and hoped to come home with some nice stuff. i had almost 90 lots marked out on paper that i want to TRY to get. I left about half way after I thought i had a lot on Arclites won. I drove 2 hours home got on bidspotter with about half of what i took and tried to buy the Bufford Pusser knives i went right to my max for those four knives and they went for 87.50 each. It made my head spin the outrageous prices things went for. I was looking to try to get some and put a few in my collection and sell the rest on Ebay but that did not happen. Doug kc2mvc

Probably no good deals is true. I would just like to find a Yello-Jaket 709Y. It's the only one I need to complete the series. I tried for one last night but just as I was bidding, the old puter locked up.

I attended the auction at Camillus last week. Knives sold at the beginning of the auction commanded unbelieveably high prices. A Western Bowie with a crown stag handle and blade etch sold for $500.00. Reproduction knives like the USMC Marine Raider Stiletto (MRS1) brought $150.00 and more. Model #17 American Wildlife Bird knives sold for $80.00 each. Display boards with etched/stamped/engraved knives were bid to $700.00+. In addition to the bid prices add 15% buyer's premium and 8% NYS sales tax. After several hours most of the people attending the auction left and the prices were more reasonable. Some good deals were offered in the final hours of the auction.
