opps, RADER Lisch Chef Knives!!!

Something new for Mike and me Last month Mike ask me if I would like to make some damascus chef knife blades. He had orders for 4 so I went to work and made them then Mike did his thing on them and hear are the first 2
The santoku is 7-1/2" blade spalted maple burl box elder burl butt cap the box is cherry. The 8-1/2" chef has a S.S spacer with Tom ferry engraved design on both sides curly koa handle with fossilized walrus butt cap. This will be a good thing for both Mike and me he is not all the way done with the first batch and he is asking for more.

Dave that is crazy nice. Makes me want to get into the kitchen and start cutting things up. A really beautiful piece.

Oh my, Dave! Super damascus and a great idea for a collaboration. Custom damascus knives in every kitchen!

John

Those are beautiful.

Makes me want to get into the kitchen and start cutting things up.
+1 What really stands out in my mind is in the modern world they would get a whole lot more use than a Bowie Knife. A person could find good reason to use those everyday.

yeah those are absolutely gorgeous! but wait, who's Reader Lisch???

Bad Spell....Rader....Michael Rader...so it really might read Rader-Lisch, or Rader/Lisch....or even Lisch-Rader.

I REALLY dig the santoku, the damascus pattern and the handle....THAT is a winner!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Those are amazing.

That chef is really stunning! I could sure use something like that. :D

Breathtaking Work...

Five Stars....

Outstanding Dave! I can see every celebrity chef in the country trying to get thier hands on one of these!!

Thank you all. Peter the damascus will act like any carbon steel chef knife the better you care for it the longer it will stay beautiful but it will patina in time like all carbon steel kitchen knives do. with that said I have 3 I have been using and I like the way they look with use it is very warm and real sharp and easy to keep sharp. I will keep posting the projects Mike and I are working on as we have 3 swords in the works as well my steel and Mikes sword making skills. STeven thank you for clearing up my bad spell I was tired when I got home last night and spelling is not my strong suit.

wow, very nice. May I enquire where you get such nice spalted maple and curly koa from? I'd like to get a few for my own personal project :)
