Hey
Can anyone recommend some reading (books, online, whatever) on the effects different alloying elements will have on a copper alloy?
Like if I add some silver to a 10%Sn bronze what would it do mechanically?

I'm planning to smelt some for my own use and am mostly interested in colour of the alloy for shallow aesthetic reasons :P, but i would like to have some understanding of what the different options will do. Any technical level is fine, i can work out jargon reasonably well

That's about all the information I've been able to find too. Lots of info on different specifications, but not much on the theory behind it.
I was hoping to understand what's actually going on with the different alloys

Hmm, i might have to do some testing :P
Fortunately i'm only really interested in relatively high copper alloys, and mostly silver and tin as alloying elements. No arsenic or zinc alloys
