Reading the Instructions Now- I Can't Open My New Umnumzaan With My Thumb?

I just got a Brand New Umnumzaan and I can’t open it with my thumb if you paid me.

I’ve tried a couple of dozen times but my thumb hurts now.

Is this normal?

I'm reading the instructions now but my thumb is sore. I'll work on it some more.

Use two hands until the parts break-in. It gets easier.

You don't open the umnumzaan like you do a sebenza. With a sebenza, you push up from the frame and do a rainbow type arch. With the umnumzaan, you push on the stud towards the blade. It will open easy this way. Just a different angle and technique is all.

Operator error for sure. The smooth thumb stud and difficulty opening didn’t make any sense until I read the instructions. Now it’s coming together and I’ve opened it a few times the way it was designed.
