This is the batch that will be finished Monday. These pictures are "pre-sanding". The handles are all finished out now and look goooooood. It includes 5 Hatchulas, 4 Delta Foxtrots, 4 Pocket Kilos, My wife's new Peoples Knife, and a special custom for my buddy Brandon.

Look! Pocket Kilos! look look... awwww you can barely see them. Dang. hahahaha.:p:D

Dylans batch is lookin great. That custom job is a stunner. You made a pattern right?

Talk to me about the red handle - and gimme coordinates for your shop so I can use GoogleEarth to try for a better shot of the Pocket Kilo!! ;) Good lookin' tray!

Ohhhh, is that the pointy one from the other thread? That IS going to be nice!

Yes I did. I thought, "this might turn out really cool... better trace the outline just in case." and it's a good thing I did. That thing turned out effin' awesome.

How about these for teasing?

Def teasing :D

I know you 've got plenty of pictures at the fotki site, but it would be interesting to make one size comparing picture of all the models for the "Lineup and Contact Thread"

I think it would help to decide which model to take
(In the end we 'll probably end up having at least one of each ;) )

The both of you are killing me with all the pictures of fine bladeware, the crowd around the table will look like a feeding frenzy of bladeoholics.I know the Blade Show show that both Andy and Dylan's work is in high demand.
Thanks,
Michael

That would be a great idea if I ever had them all together at the same time...

LOL.

I'll see how many different models I have around today (a lot) and try to get some kinda shot for you.

Dude, you've got more Machetes than I thought! I was thinking you only had one of each size - sweet. That is a beautiful rack of goodies!

Dibs on a BLJ if any survive Blade! :) And a 12 incher, too! It kills me I can't come up there and see all that awesomeness and attractiveness in person! :)

Yeah Andy. Sick photo. Way to hijack my thunder, buttface. Get your own forum.

wait...

Damnit. :p

Dylan, does the name Pocket Kilo have anything to do with the sheath - any cool pocket kydex rigs in the works for these?

Nope the name pocket kilo came from the concept I had in mind for the knife. I wanted something in a light and small package, but that could be REALLY used. It's big enough to handle serious work, but in a compact and handy EDC package. The tagline is:

The Pocket Kilo
Small Package... Serious Weight.

Prepare for some serious inside info on the elusive Kilo. They're probably going to be unveiled Monday so I guess it's close enough to really get some mouths watering. :D

The first run I did of these is in 1/8" thick 1095, 3" long blade, with the convex saber grind. That actually makes for a very stout little knife. The handle scales on them are around 5/32" thick stacked on top of red liners. This is thick enough to get some serious purchase on the handle while still being extremely compact and concealable. It's one of those that you could easily tuck into a pocket and wear as a necker under your shirt or in a Merc harness rig. Not to mention, I used canvas micarta that is pretty rough. That knife IS NOT slipping out of your hand.
