Hey Ed,
Thought I would pass this on to you.
When I was doing my test knife I heard or read someplace that you should do a "home" test knife from the same bar that the "real" one will be made from so there are no surprises at test time. You saying your waiting for some new steel made me think of it.

Everything looks great on the test knives you did, but Mace is right. Please do another test blade from the new stock your getting. You never know which way they cut the pieces from the billet unless your getting round stock.
