Don't mind me, just showing off my newest JK and the cool sheath Pete made me.

I give you..... (not literally :p )

the Stretched Worker!

It's right around 3/32" thick (the thinnest 154 John had on hand) with a full flat grind on the 4.5 " blade.(and boy do it slice!)
I wanted a low maintenance light duty kitchen/steak knife so I went with 154 CM for my first SS JK.
And of course being custom made I had it done my way and went with tan micarta (low maintenance again) with red liners and brass pins.

Now I ain't no Andy Moon when it comes to picture taking so bear with me please.

In hand....

And the sheath....

I told Pete I just wanted a simple pocket sheath to protect the blade (and me) if/when I take it out to the woods with me and he decided to get fancy on me with the coolest removable belt loop I ever did see.
Thank you Pete, I do love the ingenuity and flexibility of the hanging loop.

As you all can see, there is a little nub of leather at the top of the sheath that prevents the loop from sliding all the way up. (and potentially off)
And as you can see by the gouges I put in the side of the sheath :o it fits very tight so there is no worry about it coming off while wearing it on a belt.

Thanks for lookin' and a big thanks to John and Pete, you guys are the coolest!

Great looking knife. That would handle >90% of my kitchen chores and make me look cooler at the same time. Congrats on the really cool (and useful) knife.

It's a great knife in hand as well, it's one to get hjealous over that's for sure.

Sorry about the gouges, the stitching does it, haven't figure out how to make it tight without it :(

If you haven't tried one yet, get a stitching groover. I t will ease some of the surface tension on the leather allowing the stitching to sit near flush with the face of the sheath while keeping the pieces pulled together via the meat inside of the leather, and not over stressing the leather around the stitch points.

I' ve eyed them a few times, tried makeshifting the same results with mixed results. Might eb time to bite the bullet.

Cool Mykel!

Your pictures are excellent - and the knife and sheath look great - cool idea for the belt loop....

Talk about a slicer - you can read through those potato slices.

Thanks for the pics and enjoy your knife!

best
