I'm getting all geared up for the show. Here's what I have so far in carbon steel:

ark_show_2.jpg

  • El Camino Royale. Forged from 1084. Rounded spine, three piece guard of stainless and copper, stainless Corby bolts, Ring Gidgee, stainless escutcheon.
  • Special Platypus. Forged from 1084. Rounded spine, bold temper line instead of the usual satin finish, fileworked thumb groove, nickel silver hardware, Curly Maple.
  • Bird & Trout. Forged from 1084. Stainless hardware, fileworked thumb groove, Ringed Bow Yakka.
  • Montero. Forged from 1084. Bold temper line, fileworked thumb groove, Arizona Desert Ironwood, Stainless hardware.
  • Montero. Forged from 1084. Satin had-rubbed finish, fileworked thumb groove, Thuya Burl, Stainless hardware.
  • Large Clip point hunter. Forged from 1084. Stainless hardware, black canvas Micarta. This one is field grade. The blade, guard, bolts, and handle are all hand finished with a maroon Scotchbrite pad. That makes it an easy cleanup. If any cleanup is needed anywhere on the knife, just grab the Scotchbrite pad.

Now I'm working on the damascus offerings. Just finished this one tonight:

Damascus Montero. Stainless hardware. Fileworked thumb groove, Sambar stag.

This stag was one of about 100 sets found in a box in a warehouse a few years ago. The owner supposedly had the warehouse for 25 years and the box was apparently there before he took over the warehouse.

I've been sitting on this one for 3 years, so theoretically it could be 28 years old.

Couldn't see passing on any of these, but that pattern welded one started the old heart doing a bit of a pitty patter.

WOW, Terry!!!

All are excellent, but I am with Keith. The damascus blade is in an entirely different league. If you have made a more attractive knife, I haven't seen it.

p.s., if you hear any pitter patter, it will be from the beating of feet headed towards your table ;)

Terry, Terry, Terry,

Why in the world are you lugging that damascus Montero all the way to Little Rock? When you could just wrap it up and send it directly to ME. Simply gorgeous!

Beauties all - particularly the El Camino, Danbo's big clip point hunter and that freakin' gorgeous damascus / stag Montero. Great to see more damascus from you Terry.

Cheers,

Roger

Man, that stag has character! I'm liking that little bird n trout, too.

Good luck. Tell us all about it.
