OK guys and gals. I'm moving forward in my quest to share my prized collection of Sebenzas and other cool pointed objects. As many of you that know me can attest, my scanning and posting skills are mediocre at best. To remedy this I have:

1) Updated to gold membership.
2) Bought new photo software.
3) Santa is bringing me a digital camera for Christmas.

So I hope to soon be able to share pictures of my stuff. I will put forth a heroic effort and hopefully I will succeed. Merry Christams to all and Happy Holidays and a great New Year! 2004 will be a good one.:D   ;) :p

Have a great Christmas and New Year! Thanks for the advice re the Sebenza!

3. You're not supposed to know what Santa's bring you. But, since you have an inside line to "his white beardedness". . .can you find out what I'm getting this year ? ;)

Merry Christmas to you as well and to all the CRK forumites. I look forward to seeing you pics but I fear they'll make me insanely jealous. :D

Can't wait to see your blades Scott.
My x-mas present to me will be a Mnandi.:D All I gotta do is figure out what inlay I want.

Happy holidays to all.

Paul

Thanks everyone!:D

Gig, I got Photo Exlosion from Costco. The problem I have with my scanner is that when I scan it the picture turn out very, very large. I plan on getting a Canon digtal with a USB port connection for about $400. I could probably do OK with the scanner but I don't have the patience to figure it out. Anyway my wife wants a digital camera now so I think that will make the process easier.

Paul, it's a tough choice. I have an African Blackwood and a Mammoth Ivory one. They are very nice. They may look delicate but don't let it fool you, it is a tough little knife!

Friday and Saturday I'm testing for my Black Belt (first degree) in Tae Kwon Do. I've been training hard and trying to be focussed on passing my tests. Once that's out of the way and I get the camera I hope to post some pictures that will make Ted proud of me.  ;) :p

Just orderd a Canon Powershot 505 with a 5 megapixel capacity. Hopefully soon I will be able to post pictures like Piter!:D   ;) :p

Hey Scott, I had the same problem with my scanner at first also. We can fix this problem I think. After you preview your item look for a tab that say's "Image". Click on it and you should get a sub menu with one of the options being size. Click on this tab and I think you will see that your scanner is trying to save the object being scanned at its full size (i.e. its trying to save the image of your knife at @ 2" wide by @8" long. Change the size ratio in one of the fields to 0.350 wide and it should change the length field size to scale. Now scan it and you should get a much smaller and more manageable size photo.

Hope I didn't confuse you and that this works for you.:D
