Ready to Update My Griptillian

First post. Fairly new to knives. Have a few Kershaws and a handfull of Benchmades. Developing an addiction I think.

I have an older Griptillian with 440C blade steel and factory green scales (I think that is what they are called). I'd like to update this knife, maybe replace the blade with more modern steel and add some spice in the way of custom scales. Where can I look to learn what components are available for this knife?

If you’re replacing almost all the components of the knife why not just buy a new one with better blade steel like s30v. Order a set of replacement scales. A quick google search will show the companies the make aftermarket scales.
 
After a quick "duckduckgo" search I think you are right. The cost of scales is nearly the cost of a new knife. I will probably look for a new knife to my liking and gift this one to someone, likely to my son.
