just saw on cnn a story about some ahole who was on a release from jail so he could give a kidney to his son-whats this peckerhead do-he skips town :grumpy:

with anyluck he gets in a shootout with police and his kid gets the kidney out of his dead body:mad:

im not a father ,and i cant understand how he could do such a thing-

Just sad. hate to hear it

ANd yes, had something else here earlier, but cooler thoughts prevail on thinking about it for a few minutes. I'm not ALWAYS hot-headed. ;)

I,m playing the Devil,s advocate here . I hope I would never do what this man has done . Especially if my kid is in a life threatening situation . There is a natural aversion to voluntairily allowing people to poke sharp pointy things into your body and remove parts even if they could be considered spares . Was it self centeredness or blind panic ? Not to put down the emprisonned but he has already proven himself to be a less than desireable citizen . Lets hope he comes to his senses in time or he makes another mistake .

feel sorry for the son...:(

no kidney

no Dad

count your blessings, I guess...

they have a jail house recording between him and his girlfriend-he ask's her to bring his gun-
guy aint going back easy

This guy wouldn't be the least self-centered, would he?
What a moron. I would give my son G-Man my kidney, hell, he already has my heart. I can't imagine NOT doing for your child first, it just doesnt compute for me.

Does he still have time left to serve? Was he to be incarcerated again after the operation?

He should have asked for a Swiss Army knife, removed his kidney, and placed it on the floor before running away.

My father was a jerk - there are a lot more details which I won't bore you with, but the short version is that my mother divorced him when I was about three and he never once paid child support (despite making more than 60k a year). I haven't seen him since I was about ten and I haven't even known where he lives since I was about 12.

I heard about that too. What a worthless chunk. This is why all of our children are lucky. We may not be perfect, but we're not a chunk of crap either.

Just thought I'd add that everything's pretty much old hat for me now, so don't anybody get themselves too worried about me. Hearing about this asshole just tells me that it could've been worse.

I've gotten along just fine without him around, and I'm glad that he wasn't - who would want someone like that as a role model?

At least I don't need a kidney. That guy's real dirt.

You're not responsible for what people do to you, or don't do. You're responsible for what you're going to do about it.

Thank God that real Friends, and family, are like drinks of water in the desert, prescious and unmistakable.

havent talked to my father in 25 years-he lives less than 2 miles away-

i guess he had 25 years to go

What real Dad wouldn't give his friggin' heart, let alone an extra kidney? From what I understand you can live a completely normal life with just one. Seriously, the guy should be neutered just to prevent him from breeding anymore victims.

You guys cut to the chase . I,d still like to hear his side of the story before I slam the gavel down . I do think that holding onto his short and curlys at the time might be the route to go .Who knows why he took off ?(Aside from the fact that he proabably was going back to a hellhole after getting sliced open , No doubt he deserved to be there .

Bad Dad awards are abounding in Mesa, AZ..............I had the displeasure of dealing with a Dad who beat his 2 month old daughter and broke 8 bones and left bruises over 80% of her body................(they wouldn't let me interrogate him..........I just don't understand why:grumpy:) The baby will be OK. She was very fortunate not to lose an eye..............but the dumb thing is, guess how they got the guy to finally confess...........The detective told him they got his fingerprint off the bruise on her head. What can I say.

This baby was the same day that we had the 5 murders in one house about 5 miles from my house. They have the kingpin in custody, but I'm sure there were more involved..............had to do the job of notifying the families............the Mom passed out on us. Just another day.........what can I say.
