Real BUCK 639?

Hi

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I acquired a "BUCK 639" about a year ago and just now did some research and realized it was a special blade. I don't know much about knives so I looked more into it and saw a lot of talk of fakes and remakes of this model. I searched the forum but could not find specific ways to spot a real BUCK vs a remake so any help would be appreciated. Mine has 639 < on the blade. I cant seem to post pictures but if anybody wants I can post some google drive links to images. Thanks all

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer?
