Can someone please tell me that this is an actual spyderco? Thanks.

O think it is a blade swapped sprint run. The brown g10 model had a CTS-XHP blade.

I'm going to have to go with, No..

The lock jimping is wrong, the choil jimping looks lacking, and so does the front of the choil, into the blade area.. (all the edges look rounded)

And your pivot looks flat.. mine are domed..

If you should decide to take it apart a real one will have the born on date on the blade by the pivot...

Did not know that. Thanks. Everything about it seems just a little less spectacular than my PM2. Even the linerlock over-extends and gets a little stuck. Thinking about driving an hour up to Golden to have them verify.

The jimping on the lock is all wrong. I'm calling fake on this one, sorry. The flat pivot is wrong too, it should be domed.

The pivot screw looks like a hex bolt rather than torx. But the most obvious thing to me is that the lock bar appears to be polished. Real ones are bead blasted. Jimping is wrong too.

I would say also the liner lock appears to be stainless instead of the usual titanium. Check if it's magnetic, if a clone uses stainless instead of titanium there is a decent chance they won't splurge for the non-magnetic varieties of stainless as well...

I have to agree with the fake conclusion. First thing I noticed is the liner lock. Others have already pointed out the fact that the finish and the gimping arent consistent with a legit Millie.

Yeah, looks counterfeit to me. :( Did you take it to Spyderco to confirm?

I too noticed the pivot screw looks like a hex bolt. Hardware can certainly be replaced with non-factory stuff on an otherwise "real" Spyderco, but that alone would be enough for me to look elsewhere, never mind all the other issues with this particular knife.

OP, you can certainly take it to Golden, but if that is your only reason for going there, then I think you are wasting your time as it is likely fake. Now, if you want to go there to ogle some eye candy and perhaps buy a knife to replace that Mili wannabe, then THAT would be worthwhile. :D

I am seeing a lot of issues mentioned. Choils and pivot and handles and jimping look off.

Thanks, everyone. This one was bought on Ebay. Seller seemed genuine. Perhaps he didn't know. Got a return slip and purchased a Cruwear and a 52100 here on the exchange. Anyone know if the blades on these two are swappable? Patina on gray g10 sounds like it'd look pretty cool.

Anyone have any comparisons between cruwear and 52100?
