Short version. Chipped edge .45 grip, 35 years old, send in Camillus contract 303, Leroy (RRR) salvages what ivory from grip he can and scales a ole plain Jane 303 in elephant ivory. It works out one side gets bark but reverse gets smooth. Scrimshaw work possible in future. 'nuff said heres the photos. Even if its a little off side to side, not everyone has a elephant ivory 303.....

OK, Was only thinking of 300BUCKS with the letters like the 80's scale plate. But I understand your point. Was just filling up the white spot. Will probably cost and arm and two legs anyway.

I think a scrimshaw of a hunter taking aim on the elephant would be cool but man I'd hate to see that ivory chip or crack and get ruined:eek:

Man, That came out real good Craig. That Ivory is way cool.
Thanks for shairing .

That's NICE. I would not worry AT ALL about the ivory getting damaged by scrimshaw. I think the smooth side would be a great canvas.

Beautiful knife! The non-bark side does seem to need something done to it...IMHO
I'm liking the 300BUCKS idea. Either way, with our without it, thats a nice looking 303!
