Real Kershaw scallion?

hey!

I just got on ebay a kershaw scallion. The seller has 100% feedback and sells quite a bit. I just got my Kershaw Scallion and there was like a hole in the packaging and a little part of the clamshell packaging cut out and tape used to cover it...

I emailed them and they said that that is how they got it and didnt seem to see the hole in the packaging when they sold it

So i opened the knife and the scallion only says 1620 KAI patented made in USA on the blade. No date or steel used on the blade...is this real? Could it be fake? He said the knife was made this year. Did kershaw stop putting the date of manufacturing and the blade steel on the scallions?

Kershaw did stop etching dates a while back. AFAIK, they never put the steel (420HC) on the blade.

How big is this hole? If it looks like they actually could've missed it, I'd give them the benefit of a doubt considering their feedback rating. If it's not big enough to get the knife out, then I wouldn't worry too much. Besides, I've yet to see a knock-off with a decent AO on it.
