Hello,
I just took my old knife out of a draw this afternoon and thought I would Google "H.M. Slater" simply out of curiosity. I was overwhelmed with what came back. Your web site impressed me, so I joined it.
I kept my knife because it held an edge longer than anything I have ever owned.
It also has a personal connection for me having been given it as a birthday present in the late 1950's and now finding such interest on line, I wanted to share it with you all.
I did use it to trim sheeps feet, it was a working knife, but that was a long time ago.!
It does not have "Real Lambs Foot" stamped on the blade, but I was told that's what it was. It does have stamped, "Venture, H.M. Slater, Sheffield" on the base of the blade on one side and "Made in Sheffield England" on the other.
I would welcome any comments.
Cheers

Come on over to the Guardian's thread and say hi. I think it might be your cup o' tea.
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/guardians-of-the-lambsfoot.1406735/

Edit: I see r8shell r8shell beat me to the punch.

Sounds like a nice knife.
Over in the Traditionals forum there is a thread titled GUARDIANS OF THE LAMBSFOOT.
You should check it out. Lots of information in there.

Edit
Slow typing (tiny keyboard on the phone) and a phone call = two beat me about that thread.

Thanks for all the interest. I am trying to post a couple of photos., but it keeps saying, "Uploads are not available"
