Real or fake Inkosi

I’m looking to buy my first CRK and I’m kind of leary with all of the fakes going around. I want to get yalls opinion on it before I do anything. I can’t exactly make out the fastener type but I asked him to send me pics of them. Other than that I’m not sure what to look for. Y’alls input would be greatly appreciated.

Everything looks right to me... after a couple hundred opinions you should have a consensus .

Just call CRK customer support and send them the pic. They are very helpful. If you bought it and sent it to them for free sharpening they would keep a fake so better to ask them now!

If you'll click on his BF icon, you'll see most of his post are in the CRK sub forum discussion area. That would lead me to believe R russ25 is selling a genuine CRK.
I don't have a plain, mine is with micarta inlay. I'll go out on a limb and say it's the real deal. It's got everything with it to authenticate it. you can always go scroll through the Inkosi Appreciation thread to verify.
 
Just call CRK customer service and ask them. You can send them the pic. They are very helpful. Better to find out before you ever send it to them for their free sharpening service as if its a fake they destroy it.
 
Do Inkosi models have date codes on the interior of the scales as do the Sebenza. If so I would look for that.

Ya you’re right abt the sliding in and buying it part considering I was the first one that said I’d take it and asked for his PP info. Then abt an hour and a half later when I get the chance to check my messages again to send him the payment, to my surprise it’s already been sold.

I think they used up what they had of the older boxes before the newer boxes started going out. I've got several with that type of box dated 2016.
BTW, I don't like the boxes after those. The current boxes are sweet, you just need a bigger box to ship them in.
 
I have a Sebenza 25 from late 2014 that has the "interim" style box. I thought the older style was phased out before 2016.
